About Potent Powerpoint Presentations
Potent Powerpoint Presentations is a short evening workshop aiming to help teach those unfamiliar with the use of Microsoft's PowerPoint software to create highly effective and striking PowerPoint presentations.
The course is taught at the Cleobury Country Business Centre in Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire as part of the Switch on Shropshire 'Broadplace' initiative. The workshop runs for approximately 120 minutes with a coffee break around half way through. The first course will run on Thursday the 19th of August 2010.
Aims of the Potent Powerpoint workshop are:
- Get to grips with the Office environment, learn the locations of the most useful features and get used to working with PowerPoint in general
- Formatting and setting up a professional looking, consistent presentation.
- Using images and animation to bring life to your presentations, adding clear emphasis to certain parts of your talk and giving the audience something to focus their attention upon.
- Learning to use other types of media in your presentations including movie clips, sound files and spreadsheet charts.
- Adding 'finishing touches' to your presentation including slide transitions and automatic slide advance using the timer tool.
